Every sale is rung up in a cashier’s shift. Open it with a float, record cash taken in or out with a reason, and count the drawer at close.

Questions about Point of Sale
Which plans include Point of Sale?
Point of Sale is included in the Growth and Business plans. If you are on another plan, you can upgrade from your admin at any time and install it straight away.
Do I need special hardware?
No. The till runs in the browser on a laptop, desktop or tablet. A barcode scanner and a receipt printer are optional: any USB or Bluetooth scanner that types like a keyboard works, and receipts print through the browser on an 80mm thermal printer or a regular printer.
How do QR payments work?
The till asks Fonepay for a QR code for the exact amount of the sale. The customer scans it with their bank or wallet app, and the sale completes only once Fonepay confirms that amount was paid. You need a Fonepay merchant account, which you connect in your payment settings.
Is stock shared with my online store?
Yes. Shop sales and online orders draw from the same inventory, so selling an item at the counter updates what your website shows, and the other way round.
Can I have more than one cashier?
Yes. Each cashier signs in with their own account and runs their own shift. You decide their discount limit and whether returns, cash out and custom items need a manager’s PIN.
Can customers return something they bought online?
Yes. You can take a return or an exchange for any order at the counter, whether it was bought in the shop or online, and refund in cash, by transfer or as store credit.
Does the till work without internet?
No, the till needs an internet connection. Working online is what keeps your stock, payments and orders correct across the shop and your website at the same moment.
Do I have to sell online to use the POS?
No. Plenty of shops start with the counter. Your products are ready for your online store whenever you want to start selling online too.
